If you’re new to the world of NFTs, buying your first one can be a little daunting. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! In this post, we’ll take you through step-by-step instructions on how to buy an NFT on Aspen.

Step 1: Join an exchange
To buy an NFT, you’ll need to first join an exchange that supports cryptocurrency. Coinbase is a popular option for beginners, but there are many other exchanges to choose from. Sign up for an account and connect your bank account or credit card to make your first deposit.
Step 2: Create a Metamask wallet and add ETH
Next, you’ll need to create a Metamask wallet. Metamask is a browser extension and phone app that allows you to securely store and manage your Ethereum (ETH) and other ERC-20 tokens. Install the extension and follow the setup instructions to create your wallet.
Once your wallet is set up, you’ll need to add some ETH to it. You can purchase ETH on your exchange and then transfer it to your Metamask wallet.
IMPORTANT!
The passwords used to protect your cryptocurrency wallet are commonly referred to as “wallet seed phrases” or “recovery phrases”. These are usually a series of 12-24 words that are randomly generated and are meant to be used to restore access to your wallet in case you forget your password, lose your device or if your wallet gets compromised in some way.
It is extremely important that you store your wallet seed phrase securely as it essentially serves as a backup for your wallet.
If someone else gains access to your seed phrase, they can use it to restore your wallet and gain access to all your funds. On the other hand, if you lose your seed phrase, you may not be able to recover your wallet and your funds could be lost forever.
To keep your seed phrase safe, it is recommended to write it down on a piece of paper and store it in a secure location, like a fireproof safe or a safety deposit box. You can also use a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, which will store your seed phrase offline and protect it from hackers.
In general, you should never share your seed phrase with anyone or store it on your computer or phone as these devices can be hacked or stolen. It’s important to take the security of your seed phrase seriously to ensure the safety of your cryptocurrency assets.
Step 3: Go to Aspen to shop Saga Modernai and other NFT art
Now that you have some ETH in your Metamask wallet, you can head over to Aspen to browse and purchase NFT art. Aspen is a popular NFT marketplace where you can find a wide variety of NFTs, including digital art, collectibles, and more. Create an account on Aspen and connect your Metamask wallet to the platform. This will be how you sign in and make purchases.
Step 4: Find the NFT you want to buy…like something from Saga Modernai!
Once you’re on Aspen, you can start browsing for the NFT you want to buy. You can search by artist, keyword, or browse through curated collections. When you find an NFT you like, make sure to read the description carefully and check out the artist’s profile to learn more about them and their work.
Step 5: Make your purchase
When you’re ready to make your purchase, make sure you have enough ETH in your Metamask wallet to cover the cost of the NFT, as well as any associated gas fees. Gas fees are the transaction fees you’ll need to pay to complete the purchase on the Ethereum blockchain. They can vary widely depending on network congestion, so be prepared to pay a little extra during busy times.
To make your purchase, simply click the “Buy Now” button on the NFT’s page and follow the instructions to complete the transaction. You’ll need to confirm the details of the purchase, including the price and gas fees, before the transaction is processed.
Step 6: Enjoy your NFT!
Once your transaction is complete, the NFT will be transferred to your Metamask wallet. You can view it in your wallet and on the Aspen platform. Congratulations, you’re now the proud owner of an NFT!
